Steve builds every home as if it were his own. If someone is looking for an average built home, then don't need to bother with Steve, because he builds an 'exceptional' home with the utmost level of quality and attention to detail. He expects nothing but perfection from his subcontractors and on several occasions had them redo things that did not meet Steve's high level of expectations. We bought our home while it was still being framed. Since we traveled from Arizona and only had a few days here, Steve quickly rearranged his schedule to meet ours. We knew that we were not going to have a lot of time to pick out paint colors, light fixtures, etc. To make it easier for us, Steve hired an interior decorator (at his expense) that was able to meet with us the very next day and guide us through the selections. This was definitely not expected and further relieved our minds in knowing that we had picked an honest and reputable builder that was interested in keeping the end buyer happy. Steve is always available on his cellular phone and encourages his clients to stay in touch with him and to actively participate in reviewing and inspecting the build process. I called Steve on weekdays, nights, weekends and holidays and he always made the time to speak with me. As an engineer, I am always interested to follow the build process closely to make sure things are done correctly and no one is cutting corners. But after only a few weeks of communications with Steve every few days, I quickly gained a huge amount of trust and respect for his craftsmanship and dedication to me as the buyer. During the whole building process, I honestly felt that our house was the only home he was building at the time because his communication and interaction was so often and very personable. In reality, he was building several other homes at the time, and I suspect he maintained a similar relationship with those buyers as well. Steve's straight up and honest too. He tells you from the beginning that there will be things that need to be corrected during the building process and possibly after we move in, but he also reassures you that he will address any and all of those issues and has done exactly that on our home.
